Why NiZn UPS Battery Cabinet ?
FFD POWER's NiZn batteries were tested at the cell level to the UL 9540A Test Method and did not exhibit thermal runaway in any of the five destructive test types. The aqueous KOH electrolyte is water-based and simply cannot ignite, eliminating the fire risk inherent in lithium-ion organic solvents. This means no specialized fire suppression, no mandatory air gaps between cabinets, and no energy content restrictions under NFPA 855 or IFC 2018.
The multi-tier Battery Monitoring System includes a main processing unit (M800) for system-level control, secondary units (S48) connected directly to each battery module, and a remote module (R3000) for cloud-based oversight. The BMS monitors voltage, temperature, current, state of charge, and state of health in real time. Data is accessible via Ethernet, USB, local server, or cloud connections with 1–2 months of historical logging retrievable via USB.
The NiZn UPS Battery Cabinet is engineered for backward and forward compatibility with megawatt-class UPS inverters. Data center operators can replace existing lead-acid battery cabinets without changing their UPS hardware. The Cabinet is designed to be able to plug and play to save your installation and commission efforts and time.
The NiZn UPS delivers a maximum continuous discharge current of 900 A, with Ultra-High-Rate monobloc modules capable of exceeding 10C discharge rates. Internal impedance of 2.3 mΩ or less ensures fast, stable voltage delivery under sudden load. NiZn technology delivers approximately twice the power density of lead-acid at roughly half the weight. This reduces structural floor loading requirements, gives operators more flexibility in cabinet placement, and simplifies installation logistics.
